The Energy Procurement Process
Determine Your Needs and Objectives
We will work with you to find out what exactly your business requires (minimum acceptable payment terms, electricity fuel mix etc). We will also discuss your long term plans and energy strategies for your business and properties. This will enable us determine when to tender and the ideal contract duration. We will also ensure that Notices of Termination are issued to existing suppliers and that it is accepted, preventing issues with supplier ‘termination windows’.
Selection of Tenders and Tariffs
Based on our knowledge of suppliers, billing records, efficiency and history of quality customer care, we will select companies to include on our tender list. For accounts on published tariffs, we make comparisons to help us identify the most economic tariffs for your business. Your portfolio will also be checked to determine if your individual supply contracts can be aligned with a common end date, which can create a larger volume agreement and get your organisation better contract rates.
Tender documentation will be prepared promptly and efficiently in order to allow suppliers to prepare offers.
Analysis and Negotiation
Offers will be analysed by our team. We will then negotiate with existing and alternative suppliers in order to obtain the most favourable contracts on your behalf. Contracts will be meticulously checked and approved before being sent to you for your signature and we will liaise with the suppliers to resolve any errors or discrepancies.
Tender offers can change in a matter of hours due to the volatility of the energy markets. As a result, we will maintain a close line of communication with you to ensure that an approved offer can be accepted promptly.
Once your tender is complete we will provide a report with the recommended offer and the potential saving you will achieve amongst other details.
