Procurement Delivers Significant Savings

When initially instructed on the retail portfolio we discovered a large number of supplies were on high default or out of contract rates.

We promptly placed these supplies out to tender and secured savings of £65,553, most of which was through negotiating contracts that were a reduction of between 36% and 56% compared to the prevailing rates. Over £7,500 of this was through backdating the negotiated rates with incumbent suppliers.

Account Management

Previously all utilities were managed by each individual shop which meant accounts were often estimated, accounts were in query and also supplies were in or out of contract with various suppliers with various end dates.

Our service enabled the client to centralise this function for all shops, leading to only 1 procurement decision being necessary and ensuring their shop managers could focus on running the shops whilst we took care of the utilities.

Following recent government legislation two of our client’s supplies were subject to P272, something which we had previously briefed the client about.

Having researched the legislation we used our expertise and knowledge to arrange suitable contracts for these supplies ensuring the client adhered to the new regulations.
