With short rises and falls in the markets of late, we’re happily back down to a point reminiscent of 2007, with the memory of 2008 firmly behind us and a harsh lesson learnt; nothing can be taken for granted in the energy market! The bulk of our clients benefitted from our market knowledge over the dark days of 2008, with many contracts being keenly negotiated or extended to off-set the inflated markets. Although we’re not expecting to see such a dramatic increase again anytime soon, it’s always a good idea to keep a very keen eye on the economy as a whole in order to forecast as best as possible how and when to enter negotiations to reduce costs - something we’re fully versed in! Not only have we seen some excellent prices secured of late, but not content to sit on our laurels - we’re still digging into accounts, present and historic, looking for further savings; We’ve recently taken on a new site and identified savings in excess of £40,000 which had been unnoticed by the client for over four years!
