We recently saved a long-standing client of ours more than £7,400 due to an unrealistic increase in the available capacity to their electricity supply. When an invoice was received by Clifford Talbot for verification, we noticed an unnecessary increase in kVA when the site in question had not changed operating behaviour, staff numbers, or output in any way.
After discussions with the supplier and the Distribution Network Operator, they were shown the error of their ways and agreed to revise invoices, saving in excess of £600 per month - proof that we don’t rest on our laurels and are as conscientious about our existing clients as we are about new business.
Although we’re obviously very pleased with the saving, for which we take no commission nor any share of savings, we have no intention of letting cost saving possibilities pass by, evidenced by a further £14,000 saved for another client who were being billed, and paying for, electricity and water to a site that was not their responsibility. It is not always easy to prove to suppliers that they’re doing something incorrectly, but after compiling overwhelming evidence to the contrary this huge saving was returned to the client, again with no portion going to ourselves. A fine example of how we differ to many other consultancies.
